Buhari's blame game: On whose table does the buck stop?

A member of the faculty ofthe Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Mr Jack Amaso has decried the attitude of President Muhammadu Buhari, who he says always blame others for his shortcomings.Read below:"Buhari suspended my father because he is Christian, he only wants Muslims in his cabinet,''Babachir’s son allegedly claims. It is sad when people give excuses for their incompetence, especially with religion. It is also sad when we sit in judgement and refuse to acknowledge those who should get the credit. The credit for the suspension of the SGF goes to the Senate, but because many are biased by propaganda, they refuse to see the truth.
President Buhari I (right) suspended Babachir Lawal (left) last week as the SGF

It was the Senate that called for the probe, not Buhari, rather Buhari was covering up Lawal, honour demands that, the credit be given to the Senate andsenators like Shehu Sani, who said Buhari was fighting corruption in the legislature with insecticide but fighting it with deodorant in the presidency. The Senate themselves have shown high handed corruption, in undeclared earnings and padded budgets! It is sad we have a president who never takes responsibility, unlike Harry Truman, and his famous words..."THE BUCK STOPS HERE"That was the sign on the table of the 33rd president of the US.If Babachir Lawal's son said that indeed,he is just the fruit from Buhari, the seed who blames all!It is sad that history is dead,"defectively"replaced by current affairs!Had history been alive, people would have known that in 1978, Obasanjo was the head of state and then Colonel Muhammadu Buhari was the minister ofpetroleum resources and chairman of NNPC.Between Obasanjo and Buhari, 2.8 billion went missing in 1978 (fact of history) typical of Buhari he played the blame game!He blamed two men who were eventually fired, they were Mr Lolomari and Mr Marinho. When the economy was getting out of hand, Buhari abdicated, transferring the blame to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for 49 days, so the glory would be the VP's and when the things improve, like the airport in Abuja, the glory will be the president's!He blames Jonathan for everything!
President Buhari was quoted as saying he would continue to blame the previous administration for Nigeria's economic problems

Even in the plagiarism affair of the speech he read, someone got the blame!Albert Speer, Hitler's 1942 (world war 2) minister of armaments and munitions who was also the German inspector-general responsible for water, power and roads (note the coincidence of three responsibilities given to one man) wrote this of Hitler:".....during the years of defeats.....he blamed the generals"Low quality leadership gives the blame, high quality leadership takes the responsibility! For Buhari when it is good it is Buhari, when it is bad, it is others!

He however called on the masses to rise against “cabal” locking up Buhari. His statements reads thus: “There can be no denying how chronically ill president Muhammadu Buhari looks when he seldom does appear in public. The last time was last week Friday when Kaduna state governor Nasir el-Rufai came visiting. “The videos of Buhari walking for Friday prayers bring tears to eyes. His asthenic figure now no more than skin-and-bones as he sat down for the Jummah service was heart-wrenching.                   Muhammadu Buhari “How can a people be so cold they expose a grandfather to this type of extreme stress and deprive him from his needed rest and medical expert attention by tasking him to lead the world’s most complex nation?
